I lost a lot of respect for Kidman when she started having her face cut on, but refusing to say a word that a good number of the black population use everyday is shear stupidity on her part. It also shows her racism, think about it. I thoroughly understand her not wanting to use a condisending term in her daily life but this is an attempt at making a true to its time movie. I believe you support racism by not showing what it was like. It is like she's pretnding it wasn't that way.
